Losses to Oakesdale, Springdale

ODESSA - The Tiger volleyball team earned a key league victory last Thursday against Almira/Coulee-Hartline but followed that up with consecutive losses to Oakesdale Monday and Springdale Tuesday.
Against the Warriors of ACH, Hayden Schuh had 20 kills, 15 digs and six blocks in Odessa's 3-2 victory. Melloney Deife added 28 assists for the Tigers.
But Deife's 13 assists, seven digs, seven blocks and two aces weren't enough against powerhouse Oakesdale Monday night, as the Nighthawks swept the Tigers 25-18, 25-13, 25-13.
The result was similar against Springdale Tuesday, as the Chargers won in straight sets 25-13, 25-17, 25-23.
Lily Starkel had eight kills and eight blocks for Odessa, while Deife added 21 assists and Schuh notched 10 kills.
Odessa dropped to 5-6 with the consecutive losses and will look to rebound at home against Valley Christian Monday, Oct. 16.
