Winter weather advisory issued for Tuesday night, Wednesday

Snow expected between Tuesday night and Wednesday in north Lincoln County

DAVENPORT--The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Tuesday night into Wednesday as the first snowfall of the season is expected to arrive. A moderate band of snow is expected to hit the north parts of the county sometime between 11 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 and 11 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, with higher likelihoods of snow Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

According to the advisory, one to three inches of snow could accumulate through Wednesday. This could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes, the advisory said.

Davenport was the only Lincoln County city named in the advisory. But snow is expected elsewhere in the county, as well.

Snow accumulations of one to two inches are forecasted in Reardan, while a rain/snow mix is expected in Harrington and Odessa. Accumulations are expected to be lower in the latter two municipalities, with half an inch to one inch forecasted in Harrington and just a half an inch forecasted in Odessa.

The advisory was also issued for Spokane, Airway Heights, Medical Lake, Cheney, Hunters, Coeur d'Alene and other northeastern Washington and north Idaho cities.

Slight chances of snow are also forecasted later this week, but the likelihood of much accumulation is currently low.
