DAVENPORT — Voters in Lincoln County have just a few more days to submit their ballots for the 2023 general election.
Ballots must be postmarked by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 to be considered a valid vote.
The first returns will be announced by the Auditor’s Office shortly thereafter.
Ballots can be mailed and will be counted provided they’re postmarked by 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Citizens who prefer not to mail can drop their ballots inside the Lincoln County Courthouse, outside the Courthouse on Fourth Street in Davenport and at the Harrington City Library.
Voters have different contested races on their ballots depending on which part of the county they live in, and 8,321 ballots were mailed to registered county voters Wednesday, Oct. 18.
All county voters will see candidates for their local school boards on the election. Locally, there are contested races in Harrington, Odessa and the Reardan-Edwall School District.
Those living in municipality limits will see races for city/town council and mayor. There are contested city races in Davenport, Harrington, Odessa and Sprague.
County commissioner, hospital district, cemetery district, parks and recreation district and metropolitan park district races are also spread throughout the county.
