Cites new job in other district
HARRINGTON — The school district’s music teacher resigned earlier this month, saying that he was taking a job with another school district.
Seth Bergman’s resignation was accepted by the school board in a special meeting Thursday, Nov. 2.
“Seth has applied for and has been offered a music position in a district outside of Lincoln County that he feels better fits his future goals,” a statement given to the school board said.
Bergman taught music to all grades, from preschoolers to high school seniors.
He recently faced legal controversy, serving three days in jail beginning Wednesday, Nov. 9 on charges of third-degree driving with a suspended license and an ignition interlock violation stemming from an incident in January on Harrington-Tokio Road.
Bergman was also arrested in July on domestic violence charges, but he was cleared of those allegations at a court appearance in late October.
