Commissioners approve several items

DAVENPORT —The Lincoln County Commissioners passed several resolutions, agreements and miscellaneous requests at the annual Thanksgiving week meeting Monday, Nov. 20.

After voucher approvals and payroll change increases, the commissioners first approved a resolution to grant a budget extension to the County Fair budget.

The following agreements and contracts were approved:

• A DIVCO preventative maintenance agreement for the courthouse, public safety building and Public Health building.

• An amendment to the Dept. of Health consolidated contract to provide $137,000 in workforce development funding.

• Memorandums of understanding between the county and Local 1254 and Local 1254-CH.

The following miscellaneous requests were also approved:

• Public Health’s hire of Lance Strite as Emergency Preparedness Response Prevention Specialist.

• IS Dept.’s request to create a new position and number so Lau Olesen could move from part-time to full-time work.

• Auditor Chandra Schumacher’s request to set up a new fund for opioid settlement dollars and transfer all subsequent revenue from current expense to that fund.

• Northeast Washington ESD101 certification of tax levies for 2024.

• A joint use make-ready costs on Project LC56297 between the Broadband Office and Inland Power and Light.

• A master optical fiber and facilities lease between the county and 4749N LLC DBA North Ridge.

Finally, the commissioners heard correspondence and approved applications and hires for:

• Added privilege to Northwest Industries in Davenport.

• Renewed application for Fort Spokane Store and Restaurant.

• The Sheriff’s Office’s hires of Matthew Bridges as a communications/corrections deputy and Justin Wynecoop as deputy.

The next meeting is at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4.
