ODESSA - The local school district recognized Ed Deife for his 14 years of service on the school board at the board's regular meeting Monday, Nov. 20.
Deife first took the No. 2 seat on the board in 2009.
"I've enjoyed it. It's been a tremendous learning experience," Deife said. "I think in my time I worked with 10 or so different board members, many of whom I didn't really know and it was a pleasure getting to know them."
Deife said being on the school board can be a difficult role, but also counted it as a rewarding, fun and enlightening experience.
