Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
Events coming on consecutive Saturdays
REARDAN – The Inland Northwest Rail Museum will be the site of two holiday events during the month of December.
A “Moonlight Ride with Santa” is a ride on a restored train car on the Inland Northwest Short Line at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. Santa will be on the train and will be available for pictures. The fee for adults is $17.50. Children four and under ride the train for free.
The fee also includes admission to the museum. One must purchase tickets in advance, which are available at http://www.inlandnwrailmuseum.com.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, the Reardan Lions Club is hosting its annual Hometown Christmas at the museum. The special guest is Santa Claus, who will arrive at 6:15 p.m.
Santa will give each child a candy cane and will listen to their Christmas wishes. Hot chocolate, coffee and chili will be offered to all visitors. Weather permitting, train rides will also be given.
“This is a free event that everyone in the community is invited to attend,” Lions Club president Dale Swant said. “It’s a Reardan institution that is fun for the whole family and allows kids to have their picture taken with Santa and to tell him what they want for Christmas.”
The event will be from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at 27300 Sprinkle Road.
