SPANGLE -Harrington High School may be small, but three of its boys are competing in wrestling for the Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna/Harrington Broncos this season.
Two of the boys were in action at the Brice Williams Invitational at Liberty High School in Spangle Saturday, Dec. 9.
John Branham, wrestling at 190 pounds, was one of two Broncos to win a match at the Invitational. He was pinned in his opening bout by Dylan Valadez of Mary Walker in 2:09.
In the consolation round, he received a bye before pinning Hunter Rasmussen of Selkirk in 2:12.
He was eliminated from the tournament when he was pinned by Tyler Sloan of Columbia (Burbank) in 2:40.
Turner Slack, wrestling at 144 pounds, was pinned by Raffaele de Stefano of Columbia (Burbank) in 50 seconds and then pinned by Jase Frederick of Almira-Coulee/Hartline in 2:27.
The Broncos will be in action at a tournament in Davenport at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16.
