Applicants sought for vacant position

REARDAN – Town Council heard outgoing councilmember Clay Soliday’s letter of resignation at its meeting Thursday, Jan. 4 and a subsequent announcement soliciting the vacancy to interested citizens living in town limits. The meeting was held after the print newspaper went to press.

Soliday didn’t file for re-election after 50 years on Council.

Any resident in town limits interested in filling this position should contact the clerk at Town Hall. The council expects to fill the vacant position within the next month.

This is the council’s second vacancy since Aug. 2023, when councilman Shad Vincent resigned. Raymond (Rocky) Kidder filled that position.
