Transfer station fees to increase

DAVENPORT — The Lincoln County Transfer Station will be increasing its fees as of April 1. The annual increase will be 4.5%, as adopted by resolution of the Lincoln County Commissioners.

“We are simply passing along the cost of living increase we receive from our hauler,” Commissioner Rob Coffman said. “Unfortunately, for the transfer station to be sustainable, the county cannot absorb those increases nor do we have any control over them.”

This is the third increase in three years from the Transfer Station. In 2023, the rate increased 3.739% and for 2023 the fees increased by 4.5%.

Recycling drop off fees will not be affected by the increase, and a price rate of two bags of household garbage or less was set at $5.
