Odessa school receives grant

Odessa FFA advisor HaLee Walter recently secured a $40,000 Case grant to create small gas engine curriculum through the Washington FFA Foundation.

Walter said the grant brings her to just under $200,000 in grant money for the Odessa program.

She said she hopes to add an additional semester class, but if that doesn't work out, she plans to add the curriculum to the current Ag Mechanics II course. Pictured here are the high school students that are expected to benefit from the new curriculum.
