Food, monetary donations accepted at Sunday School
Food donated to the Odessa churches' Food Drive will be weighed Sunday, Jan. 28.
ODESSA - Christ Lutheran Church's Sunday School is inviting Sunday School classes at all churches throughout the town to participate in a Food Drive challenge this Sunday.
Classes are asked to collect food and monetary donations in their classrooms Sunday, Jan. 28.
After services Sunday, congregants will meet at the Odessa grain scales to weigh which church brought in the most canned food drives.
Meanwhile, assistant superintendent Kyle Tebow will collect and record monetary donations, superintendent Laura Estes said. Monetary donations will be counted at $1 per pound.
