Davenport FBLA attends Leadership Conference

Qualified members advance

CHENEY - On Jan. 22, 17 members of the Davenport FBLA chapter competed in person at the Northeast Region FBLA Winter Business Leadership Conference. Members competed in a variety of events including but not limited to: Economics, Public Service Announcement and Public Speaking.

The following is a list of winners who will move on to compete at the FBLA State Business Leadership Conference:

1st Place – Broadcast Journalism – Savana Copenhaver, Emma Cormier, Tessa Cormier

6th Place – Business Communication – Dongjun (Jason) Lee

2nd Place – Client Service – Savana Copenhaver

2nd Place – Economics – Dongjun (Jason) Lee

1st Place – Introduction to Business Concepts – Josie Wynecoop

2nd Place - Introduction to Business Procedures – Josie Wynecoop

2nd Place – Introduction to FBLA – Josie Wynecoop

3rd Place – Introduction to Marketing Concepts – Clare Lathrop

5th Place – Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure – Sawyer Raugust

2nd Place – Introduction to Social Media Strategy – McCall Knopp, Astraya Sosa, Chloe Hammond

3rd Place – Public Service Announcement – Selah Hupp and Tessa Cormier

1st Place – Public Service Announcement – Savana Copenhaver and Emma Cormier

5th Place – Introduction to Public Speaking – Clare Lathrop

In addition, the following are competing at the FBLA State Business Leadership Conference with other projects:

Sales Presentation – Faith Bell, Josie Wynecoop and Dongjun (Jason) Lee

Community Service Project – Samantha Odenrider, Sawyer Raugust and Beau Copenhaver

Partnership with Business – Chloe Hammond, Selah Hupp and Tatum Hupp

The FBLA State Business Leadership Conference will be held in Spokane, April 24 – 27. Members will have the opportunity to compete at the National Leadership Conference that will be held in Orlando, Florida, if they place in the top four at the State Conference.
