Clark resigns from Odessa Town Council

ODESSA — Town Council has a vacancy to fill. Josh Clark resigned his position in Seat No. 2 effective Jan. 8.

Clark had been on Council since Oct. 2023, when he replaced Amy Gimmestead.

He ran unopposed for reelection to the seat, which was a 4-year term. No reason was given for his resignation, Town Hall staff said.

Clark didn’t return inquiries for comment from The Record-Times by press time.

Town Clerk Meri Jane Bohn said multiple applications have already been received from interested citizens. Applications will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 9.

The Town expects to hold interviews in coming weeks.

Town Council’s next meeting is at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12.
