Local school levies pass

DAVENPORT —-The results are certified, and all Lincoln County school levy propositions have passed. Results were certified Friday, Feb. 23.

The local District flirting with levy failure was Reardan-Edwall, mostly due to opposition in Spokane County. But Lincoln County favored the levy enough to overrule said opposition.

The 3-year Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) levy valued at approximately $2 per $1,000 assessed property value passed 776-713, with 373 in favor to 190 opposed in Lincoln County and 523 opposed to 403 in favor in Spokane County.

Davenport passed 4-year EP&O and capital levies.

The EP&O levy, valued at approximately $2.30 per $1,000 assessed property value, passed 489-381. And the capital levy, valued at approximately $1 per $1,000 assessed property value, passed 493-354.

Odessa’s 1-year EP&O and capital levies also passed.

The EP&O levy, valued at approximately $1.89 per $1,000 assessed property value, passed 291-118. Lincoln County voters were in favor 272-104, while Grant County voters were 5-3 in favor and Adams County voters were 14-11 in favor.

And the capital levy, valued at approximately 38 cents per $1,000 assessed property value, passed 300-107. Lincoln County voters were in favor 282-94, while Grant County voters were 4-2 in favor and Adams County voters were 14-11 in favor.

Harrington has comfortably passed its 2-year EP&O levy valued at approximately $2.13 per $1,000 assessed property value, with 178 voters in favor and 82 against.

A 1-year replacement excess levy for operations and maintenance in Hospital District No. 1 passed 309-149.
