Odessa seventh-graders have learned about the impact of agriculture on the American economy as part of Odessa FBLA's American Enterprise Project. With a specific focus on the commodity of potatoes in agriculture, the seventh-graders and FBLA members had the extraordinary opportunity to tour the Simplot Company's potato processing plant in Othello. Students toured the facility where more than 1.5 million pounds of French fries are shipped daily to restaurants like McDonald's and Whataburger.
