Steven Lee (Leroy) Siegel

Feb. 12, 1947

Steven was born Feb. 12, 1947 to Betty Maxine Siegel and Lynn Robert Siegel in Spokane, Wash. Steven never liked his middle name Leroy so, much later in life, he had it officially changed to Lee.

Steve was very proud of his military service in the US Army. He was in the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam earning an Honorable Discharge on June 14th, 1965. He was a life member of the VFW Post #7395 and a member of the Odessa American Legion Post #105.

Steve loved writing poetry, becoming very good actually. He was also learning to play the guitar via the internet.

Steve married Sally Ann (Singer) Schuman on April 13, 1996 in Spokane, Wash.

He is survived by his wife Sally; his daughters, Tammy Fairbanks of Union Gap, Wash. and Allesha (Jesse) Groves of Roy, Wash .; his son, Lawrence N. (Deana) Siegel; sister, Marlene Kloepfel of Spokane, Wash. and 5 grandchildren.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stanley Siegel; Step brother, Leslie McCorkle; KIA, in Vietnam; sisters, Patty Heldman and Judy Heldman.

A Memorial Service was held May 22nd at Heritage Church Odessa with Pastor Josh McLachlan officiating. Inurnment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park, Spokane, Wash.
