Lincoln County Jail inmate transferred to Spokane on murder charge

Keller woman accused of driving under the influence now suspected of premeditated murder

DAVENPORT--A Keller woman who was booked into Lincoln County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence was transferred to Spokane County Jail Tuesday, April 16 on a warrant for first-degree premeditated murder.

Alyssa Kay Bray, 27, of Keller, is now booked into the jail in Spokane County on a $1,001,000 bond, which includes $1 million for first-degree murder set by Spokane County District Court, $500 for second-degree criminal trespassing by Spokane Municipal Court and $500 for third-degree theft by the Airway Heights Court, Spokane County inmate records show.

According to a release from the Spokane Police Dept., Bray is accused of hitting a man with his own truck. The man reportedly picked her up around West Sunset Frontage Road and South Grove Road while Bray was walking down Sunset Highway Tuesday, April 9.

Investigators believe Bray took control of the truck from 70-year-old Gerald R. Fox and intentionally struck him with the vehicle, according to the release.

Later that night, Bray was arrested west of Davenport on charges of driving under the influence and attempting to elude police Tuesday, April 9, according to Lincoln County jail records.

Deputies allegedly followed Bray down State Highway 25 and through downtown Davenport as she sped through the city at 43 miles per hour before placing spikes onto Highway 2 to stop the blue Chevy Colorado she was reportedly driving, according to police records.

Bray remained booked in Lincoln County Jail until Tuesday's transfer, the Sheriff's Office said.

Officers found Fox’s deceased, partially clothed body having evidently been thrown into a nearby fence, according to the release.

Fox was reportedly convicted of one count of possession of child pornography and sentenced to 15 months in prison after child porn images were found in a Spokane hotel he rented last year. He was also convicted of child pornography possession in 2022, according to reports.
