DAVENPORT — The local Senior Center and United Methodist Church is hosting a Garden Festival featuring a free seed and plant exchange from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4.
Attendees are encouraged to bring extra starts to trade and share with other prospective gardeners, according to a flyer provided by the Senior Center.
Additionally, businesses will be selling products and sharing insights. Businesses include Perianth Herbs, Cat and Owl Creations, Lincoln Sand and Gravel, MKB Lawncare, Tall Grass Farms, Stonemill Farm, WSU Extension, Vintage Coffee Roasters, Rainier Seed, SeedMoney Co. and Washington Native Plant Society.
Outdoor vendors will be set up in the gravel parking lot outside Wheatland Veterinary Clinic, while inside information and presentations will be inside the Senior Center.
Additionally, food vendors will be provided and Lau Olesen will perform music for attendees.
