Quail Court to re-open May 23

Dedication, ribbon-cutting scheduled

ODESSA — A 4-month long wait to move back home will finally end for Quail Court residents this month. Memorial Healthcare Center CEO Brett Antczak announced that residents of the assisted living facility run by the Healthcare Center will move back into the repaired and renovated Court Thursday, May 23.

Antczak made the announcement to appreciative applause at the Healthcare Foundation Live Auction, Wine Tasting and Microbrew Foundation Friday, May 3.

Quail Court residents have been living at an assisted living facility in Moses Lake following a flood caused by a burst pipe in January. 10 of those residents will be returning to their home with two additions, Antczak said.

“We have a waiting list of 20 people, so two more will join the family, meaning 12 people will be moving in total,” he said.

The Healthcare Center has been busy renovating and repairing Quail Court following the January freeze. In addition to receiving necessary approval from the Dept. of Health and Dept. of Social and Health Services, there are now new carpets in all the apartments.

That’s in addition to new paint and lighting, a fully renovated kitchen, new flooring and new furniture, Antczak noted.

The Healthcare Center has planned a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23. Antczak said speeches from hospital and town dignitaries, live music and a barbeque dinner are planned.
