DEER PARK — The Davenport golfers began postseason play with subdistricts Thursday, May 2. Six golfers competed for the Gorillas, with two making the cut for district play, which wrapped up after press time Wednesday, May 8.
Maddox Schumacher shot a 79 at sub-districts and entered Wednesday’s district round in sixth place, with the top 17 finishers qualifying for state.
Top 17 finishers are determined by combining sub-district and district scores.
Mac Larmer shot an 86 at sub-districts and entered districts in 16th place. Bennett Wagner shot 98 and missed the district cut, while Dax Sewall withdrew.
On the girls side, Fiona Strozyk shot a 157 and Shelby Hargrave shot a 152, with neither qualifying for districts.
