DAVENPORT - A local woman has joined the newspaper as an office specialist and advertising saleswoman. Kelli Wilkie, 54, of Davenport will be selling advertising and holding regular office hours for The Record-Times.
Wilkie is a 34-year resident of Davenport, carrying previous employment at Zion Lutheran Church and Davenport Vision Source.
She also has newspaper experience. In 1991, Wilkie worked for pressman Randy Warwick as a pre-press specialist assisting in the production of The Davenport Times in the basement of what is now Katz Realty.
She has been married to Jeff Wilkie for 32 years. Together, they have three children (Ronald Wilkie, Thomas Wilkie and Torri Mielke) and 10 grandchildren.
Her mother-in-law is Irene (Scharff) Wilkie, who was born and raised in Davenport.
Wilkie said she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She looks forward to getting more involved in the community through her position with The Record-Times.
You can come visit her in the newspaper's 1112 Morgan Street office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Wilkie will also regularly be around Davenport, Odessa, Harrington and Reardan to connect with local businesses and organizations during business hours.
