Four injured in crash east of Reardan

REARDAN — Four people were injured in a 3-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 2 at milepost 266 east of town and just west of the Spokane County line Monday, June 17.

According to Washington State Patrol, LeRoy Stearns of Nespelem was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center while Chrystal Littlecrow, also of Nespelem, was transported there by ambulance. The two were in a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, the Patrol said.

Lorri Anderson of Reardan, driving a 2021 Jeep Cherokee, was taken in an ambulance to Lincoln Hospital, while Angelina Bianco of Airway Heights, driving a 1998 Nissan Maxima, was ambulanced to Sacred Heart, according to the Patrol.

According to the Patrol, a commercial vehicle had legally stopped on the highway to turn left into Action Materials. Several vehicles stopped behind that vehicle, and another vehicle crashed into the rear of a second vehicle around noon Monday.

A third vehicle then rear-ended the car that caused the original crash, the Patrol said.

Eastbound U.S. Highway 2 was closed east of Reardan until about 1:46 p.m. as debris from the crash was cleared.
