Woman injured in crash near Sprague

Yates of Moxee airlifted to Spokane

SPRAGUE — One woman was injured in a crash one mile east of the city early Monday, June 17.

According to a press release from Washington State Patrol, Burnadette C. Yates, 25, of Moxee, was injured and airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane after the green 2001 Toyota Tacoma she was driving left the roadway on Interstate 90 eastbound at milepost 246.

The vehicle was pulled into soft gravel, rolled and came to rest in the median around 3:11 a.m. Monday, according to the release.

No other vehicles or passengers were involved, the release shows.

Criminal charges won’t be filed against Yates, who was wearing a seatbelt. The official cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to State Patrol.
