Reardan JV advances to semis
REARDAN - The Davenport varsity girls finished second and the host Screaming Eagle girls finished third at the third annual Reardan Slam Basketball Tournament Friday, June 14 through June 16.
On the junior varsity side, Reardan advanced to the semifinals with an Elite 8 win over Lind-Ritzville/Sprague before falling to eventual champion Republic.
New Northeast 2B team Freeman, formerly a 1A school that has reclassified to 2B, won the varsity girls championship over Davenport.
The Gorillas defeated a shorthanded Screaming Eagles squad in the varsity semifinals.
The 3-day tournament split between the main high school gym and Gene Smith Gym featured a total of 28 teams. On the varsity side, that included Northeast 2B teams Reardan, Davenport, LRS, Kettle Falls, St. George's, Freeman and Liberty.
