Lincoln County under hot and hazardous weather conditions

DAVENPORT — The National Weather Service has issued a forecast for Davenport, Odessa, Harrington, and Reardan, with Lincoln County under Hazardous Weather Conditions.

A Heat Advisory is in effect from Thursday, July 16, at noon until Thursday, July 18, at 10:00 p.m., and a Red Flag Warning is in effect from Friday, July 17, at noon until Thursday, July 18, at midnight.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will not warm up instantly, residents should prepare for a stretch of hot weather.

In Davenport, Thursday, July 16, will be sunny and hot, with a high near 98 degrees. The southeast wind at 6 to 9 mph will become southwest in the afternoon. Thursday night will be mostly clear, with a low of around 63 degrees.

Friday, July 17, will also be sunny and hot, with a high near 97 degrees, followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 62 degrees.

Saturday, July 18, will be sunny and hot, with a high near 100 degrees and a mostly clear night with a low around 65 degrees.

Sunday, July 19, will be even hotter, with a high near 105 degrees and a mostly clear night with a low around 67 degrees.

Thursday, July 16, will be sunny and hot in Reardan. The high will be near 97 degrees, and the southwest wind will be 3 to 8 mph.

The night will be mostly clear, with a low of around 64 degrees. Friday, July 17, will be sunny, with a high near 94 degrees, followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 62 degrees. Saturday, July 18, will be sunny and hot, with a high near 99 degrees and a mostly clear night with a low around 65 degrees.

Sunday, July 19, will be very hot, with a high near 102 degrees and a mostly clear night with a low around 67 degrees.

In Odessa, Thursday will be sunny and hot, with a high near 101 degrees and a southwest wind at 6 to 10 mph. The night will be mostly clear, with a low of around 63 degrees.

Friday, July 17, will be sunny and hot, with a high near 99 degrees, followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 61 degrees.

Saturday, July 18, will be sunny and hot, with a high near 103 degrees and a mostly clear night with a low around 66 degrees.

Sunday, July 19, will be scorching, with a high near 106 degrees and a mostly clear night with a low around 66 degrees.

On Thursday, July 16, Harrington will be sunny and hot, with a high near 100 degrees.

The southeast wind at 6 to 10 mph will become southwest in the afternoon. Thursday night will be mostly clear, with a low of around 62 degrees.

Friday, July 17, will be sunny and hot, with a high near 97 degrees, followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 61 degrees. Saturday, July 18, will be sunny and hot, with a high near 102 degrees and a mostly clear night with a low around 66 degrees.

Sunday, July 19, will see sunny and hot conditions with a high near 105 degrees and a mostly clear night with a low around 65 degrees.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat, as the temperatures are expected to remain high throughout the advisory period.
