McMillan named all-around cowboy

Cheney Rodeo results announced

CHENEY - Caleb McMillan of Soap Lake was crowned the all-around cowboy Sunday for the 2024 Cheney Rodeo, earning $998.

He competed in bull riding, tie-down roping and steer wrestling.

Lincoln County was also represented by Laramie Gray of Reardan. The 8-year-old trick rider, who trains with Riley McMillan, carried the U.S. flag during grand entry.

Others in the rodeo with ties to Lincoln County include team roper Bobby Winn of Reardan and saddle bronc rider Davey McMillan of Soap Lake (a former Odessa High School standout athlete)

The total payout for Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association events was $91,238. Additionally, the breakaway roping payout was $10,528.
