Description of proposal:

On Saturday, May 18, the City’s main water source, Well #3, experienced a total failure of its well pump which caused the reservoir to eventually empty, leaving the city without a source of drinking water for a period of time before the backup Well #1, the backup well was placed into service, an emergency was declared, and a boil water advisory was issued. A new, replacement pump has been located. The existing failed line shaft pump will be removed and replaced with a 40 HP submersible pump in the existing well.

Necessary electrical components will be updated. No ground disturbance will occur as a result of this project.
