Editor’s note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
July 22
Traffic Stops: 17
A woman called at 6:51 a.m. to report that two cows, one black and one brown, were out on Redwine Canyon Road at the end of the pavement near Lincoln.
A woman called at 8:20 a.m. to report her issue with the Sprague Lake Resort that morning.
A civilian called at 10:51 a.m. to request contact from a deputy about people filing false reports against them. They wanted to press charges against the other party.
A woman called at 1:28 p.m. requesting a welfare check on her father while she is out of state. She believed he was having a hard time taking care of himself.
A man called at 3:14 p.m. to report trespassers on his property. He claimed they came through a closed gate on Danekus Road in Adams County and then crossed into Lincoln County onto his property to a vacant house that he owns.
A civilian called at 4:35 p.m. to report a woman sitting in a green envoy at the SR25 pullout just North of town. The reporting party advised that she drove by very quickly and saw her sitting in her car and there is a possibility that she may or may not have been slumped over
A man called to request a deputy at 6:56 p.m., saying he was trying to help his brother move. The reporting party advised that his brother’s girlfriend’s husband won’t let him move out.
July 23
Traffic stops: 18
A person called at 1:06 p.m. to request contact from a deputy regarding a vehicle prowl and siphoning. The reporting party advised that multiple vehicles had their gas caps taken off the night prior and were siphoned.
A person called at 5:24 p.m. to report a structure fire. Said it looked like a garage.
A civilian at 8:18 p.m. called to report an elderly white man with a bicycle appearing to be drunk. The reporting party said the individual was yelling at customers from the sidewalk. The man appeared to be wearing a green safety vest.
July 24
Traffic stops: 3
A woman called at 3:57 a.m. to report that she had been hearing noises from a trailer that is parked in her driveway. She stated that the noises had been going on for about 20-30 minutes.
A man called at 1:39 p.m. to report a child in distress. The man said the child called him crying for his parents. The child hung up after learning that they had dialed the wrong number.
A woman called at 2:37 p.m., stating her husband had her baby and would not give the baby back.
A woman called at 2:57 p.m. to report that her mail is being stolen and opened.
A citizen called at 3:18 p.m. to report there was a man wearing a white shirt and red shorts out at Aspen and Broadway.
July 25
Traffic stops: 3
A man called at 11:59 a.m. to report that his female neighbor is harassing him and his wife and had come to their property to try and get him in trouble for shooting his guns. The woman told deputies that she believed the reporting party was shooting at her.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received two calls at 12:10 p.m. for reports of a cream-colored cow out of the fence next to the highway at SR 2 MP 242.
A woman called at 6:20 p.m. to report whet trucks and semis not stopping at the stop sign. The woman was concerned about someone getting hurt and stated that she had seen two people almost crash into a truck that day.
A woman called at 7:43 p.m. to report that she suspects a person is violating a no-contact and anti-harassment order via third-party means.
Spokane tribe received a call at 9:43 p.m. from a residence on their side of the river for a bonfire.
July 26
Traffic stops: 9
A man called at 7:44 a.m. to report an attempted theft of wheat one mile north of the intersection of Crick Road and Barly Road. The reporting party stated it happened the day before.
A man called at 9:50 p.m. on the 15th to report an illegal burn behind his house, saying it was the Grey house. The reporting party wanted a deputy to go tell the residents in the Grey house to stop because the burn ban was in effect.
A civilian called at 10:22 p.m. to report an alarm in the north halfway of the Harrington Elementary School was going on.
At 11:36 p.m., a man called to report a bear tearing apart his bee hives in his backyard.
July 27
Traffic stops: 10
A man called at 7:04 a.m. to report that he hit a deer the night before, pulled the vehicle off the road and put reflective tape on it for the night. The reporting party stated that he will pick the vehicle up on Monday.
A civilian called at 1:54 p.m. to report they found a lost dog in Davenport.
A man called at 4:41 p.m. to report a black and brown German Shepherd on the loose around the high school.
July 28
Traffic stops: 11
A report was made to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 7:24 a.m. about the audible alarm going off at the Wonder Mini Mart. The alarm company was unable to get a hold of the owner.
An audible alarm went off at a residence at 2:46 p.m. after the owner entered the incorrect password.
A woman called at 5:18 p.m. to report a child had wandered into a store.
A man called at 9:49 p.m. to report that he could see what looked like a Uhaul hit the building on his security cameras.
A woman called at 10:02 p.m. to report that her soon-to-be ex-husband refused to let her on the property.

July 23
Brian Kurt Colby, 60, of Grand Coulee, was arrested by the Department of Corrections on an Assault-4 charge.
Joshua William Newkirk, 40, Spokane, was arrested by LCSO for failure to obey an officer and driving with a license suspended or revoked-3.
July 24
Adam Thomas Everett, 38, of Creston, was arrested by the Department of Corrections for Failure to Comply.
July 25
Victoria Rain Matheson, 23, of Keller, was arrested by the LCSO for Driving with a Suspended License or Revoked-3.
Leon Lespy Heemsah, 35, of Airway Heights, was arrested by the Bureau of Indian Affairs for a BIA- (all tribal arrests) charge.
Chris Michael Smith, 62, of Spokane, was arrested by LCSO for reckless driving.

Ethan Justice Frazier, Wilbur, Driving under the influence and reckless driving, the sentence is suspended for a period of 24 months with 364 days to serve in jail. 363 days suspended and a fine of $5,000 with $4,000 suspended. Serve a total of one day in jail with credit for one day served.
Chris Michael Smith, Spokane, driving under the influence and reckless driving. The sentence is suspended for a period of 24 months on the condition of serving 364 days in jail with 361 suspended and fined $5,000 with $3,500 suspended. Serve a total of 3 days with credit for one day. Jail report date July 25.

Kristina M. Keys, motion and order for dismissal without prejudice
Stacey Manley, motion and order amending to a lesser charge and entering a plea of commitment to the amended charge of speeding 15 MPH over the limit to speeding 9 MPH over the speed limit, fined $135.
