Special filing period slated

Filings for Lincoln County Elections

DAVENPORT — Lincoln County Elections Manager Norm Caley has announced a special three-day filing period for candidates seeking elective positions that were not filed for during the regular filing period.

The filing period will run from Tuesday, August 20, to Thursday, August 22.

During this period, candidates can declare their candidacy for the Public Utility District No. 1, Commissioner No. 2 position, which is currently held by Hal Johnson.

This position includes both a short-term and a six-year term.

Declarations may be filed in person at the Lincoln County Auditor’s Office, located at the Courthouse in Davenport, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

Declarations by mail must be received by the office no later than 3 p.m. on August 22, and must include the appropriate filing fee if required.
