Paul Totusek

Paul Totusek passed away peacefully Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Bethany @ Pacific, surrounded by family. Paul was born July 9, 1928 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane, Wash. to Frank B. and Mary M. Fendler Totusek of Odessa, Wash. He grew up with two brothers, Frank and Max and three sisters, Dorothy, Mary Ann, and Carol, residing in Texas.
Raised in Odessa, he graduated from high school in 1947. He graduated in the field of refrigeration from the West Coast Trades Institute in Portland, OR. In April 1949, he started his refrigeration career with Meadowmoor Dairy in Everett, Wash. He was drafted into the U.S. Army Nov. 3, 1950, training for 5 months at Camp Cooke, CA then 8 months advanced infantry training in Japan and ending with 9 months of service in Korea, being honorably discharged as a Corporal from Camp Stoneman, CA.
He returned to Meadowmoor Dairy which ultimately merged into Foremost Dairy. Paul retired as plant engineer from Foremost in 1981 when the Everett plant was closed. He then remained self-employed in the refrigeration business for many years. Paul had a tremendous work ethic and always had time to help family and neighbors with his natural fix-it skills.
He purchased his home on Rucker Ave in Everett in the spring of 1957 and lived there until this year. He married Mary Colleen Thielen Peppers in Feb. 1958 and raised daughters Connie and Debbie Peppers. Jeffrey Paul Totusek was born Jan. 17, 1959. Colleen died of cancer in 1969. Paul married Josie R. Chism Archer on May 14, 1970. Josie had three adult children, Joanne, Mack, and Camille. Paul and Josie enjoyed traveling, gardening, sporting events, visiting and hosting family, and everyday life in Everett. Josie passed away in May 2008.
Paul leaves behind his loving children, grand-children and great-grandchildren and a legacy of love and caring, a terrific sense of humor, and a lifetime of enjoyable memories.
There will be a grave side service at Evergreen Cemetery on Aug. 27 at 11 am.
