New coach to lead Reardan into fall season

REARDAN – The School District has hired Elise McCammond to be the head coach for the high school girls' volleyball team for the 2024-25 school year.

McCammond participated in volleyball, golf and track at Freeman High School. After placing 8th in the state her junior year, her senior team topped of an undefeated conference and district run with a 5th place finish.

After graduating from Freeman in 2019, McCammond played at North Idaho College, where her team was undefeated in league play. The following year, she played at Spokane Falls Community College, where her team placed fifth in the Northwest Athletic Conference.

The past two seasons, McCammond coached at Grace Christian Alliance School in Spokane Valley besides two club volleyball teams for girls aged 15-16.

McCammond feels that one of her strengths is developing players.

"I just love watching girls fall in love with the sport that I care so much about," McCammond said. "I am super optimistic about our team this season as we have a lot of talent."

"I love small schools and thought coaching in Reardan would be a great opportunity," she said.

McCammond will be assisted by Annabelle Croco who attended Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Oregon. She and McCammond were teammates on the Spokane Falls Community College volleyball team.
