Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
DAVENPORT - A quilt raffle is underway to help raise funds for the Davenport Senior Center.
"Our quilt raffle will run through the end of November," organizer and Senior Center President Christine Warwick Jenkins earlier this week.
The quilt sports an image of a family of gorillas, in tribute to the mascot at Davenport High School. It was donated by Donna Gauch and Yvonne Mills, both of Davenport.
The sale of raffle tickets will benefit efforts to remodel the Senior Center kitchen, Jenkins said.
Last week, it was on display in the Grange building at the Lincoln County Fair. With the closing of the fair, it is currently on display at Wheatland Bank, 600 Morgan St., where donations for raffle tickets are being accepted.
Senior Center officials suggest a donation of $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets.
