Lincoln County Primary election results finalized

Garcia, Baumgartner, Reichert win

DAVENPORT —Lincoln County’s August 6 primary election results were finalized as of Monday, August 19.

The county experienced a voter turnout of 48.22%, with 4,058 ballots counted out of 8,416 registered voters.

For County Commissioner District No. 1, Jo M. Gilchrist (Republican Party) received 97.38% of the vote, and Scott M. Hutsell (Republican Party) won County Commissioner District No. 2 with 95.53%.

In judicial races, Dave Larson led for Supreme Court Justice Position #02 with 45.03%, followed by Todd A. Bloom at 31.52%.

Voters in Odessa approved Proposition No. 1 with 63.04%, and Fire Districts 5 and 8 saw propositions passed with 71.31% and 75% approval, respectively.

In the governor’s race, Dave Reichert (Republican Party) led with 41.61%, followed by Semi Bird (Republican Party) at 26.51%. Bob Ferguson (Democratic Party) received 14.75%, and Leon A. Lawson (Trump Republican Party) garnered 4.07%. No write-in votes were reported.

Dr. Raul Garcia (GOP) led the race for U.S. Senator with 43.86% of the vote. Maria Cantwell (Democratic Party) followed with 23.2%. Isaac A. Holyk (Republican Party) received 10.79%, while Scott Nazarino (Republican Party) secured 8.27%.

For Congressional District 5 U.S. Representative, Michael Baumgartner (Republican Party) received 34.31%, and Brian Dansel (Republican Party) secured 20.57%. Jacquelin Maycumber (Republican Party) garnered 17.38%, while Bernadine Bank (Democratic Party) received 7.18%. Carmela Conroy (Democratic Party) and other candidates had smaller shares, with five write-in votes recorded.

For Washington State Lt. Governor, Dan Matthews (Republican Party) emerged as the leading candidate with 44%, followed by Bob Hagglund (Republican Party) at 31.22%. Denny Heck (Democratic Party) received 14.93%, with five write-in votes.

Dale Whitaker (Republican Party) dominated the race for Washington State Secretary of State with 72.51%, trailed by Steve Hobbs (Democratic Party) with 17.59%. Damon Townsend (No Labels Party) received 5.21%, and there were two write-in votes.

Sharon Hanek (Republican Party) led the contest for Washington State State Treasurer with 76.95%, while Mike Pellicciotti (Democratic Party) garnered 23.02%. One write-in vote was cast.

Matt Hawkins (Republican Party) won the Washington State State Auditor race with 77.2%, defeating Pat McCarthy (Democratic Party), who received 22.8%. No write-in votes were recorded.

Pete Serrano (Republican Party) achieved a commanding victory in the race for Washington State Attorney General with 78.82%. Nick Brown (Democratic Party) came in second with 13.38%, followed by Manka Dhingra (Democratic Party) with 7.8%. There were no write-in votes.

In the race for Washington State Commissioner of Public Lands, Sue Kuehl Pederson (Republican Party) led with 40.09%, followed closely by Jaime Herrera Beutler (Republican Party) with 37.76%. Allen Lebovitz (Democratic Party) received 7.1%, with one write-in vote.

For Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction, David Olson led with 49.14%, followed by Chris Reykdal with 25.42%. Reid Saaris earned 17.58%, with 12 write-in votes.

Phil Fortunato (Republican Party) won the race for Washington State Insurance Commissioner with 48.78%, while Justin Murta (Republican Party) received 23.76%. Patty Kuderer (Democratic Party) garnered 14.6%. No write-in votes were reported.

In legislative races, Mark G. Schoesler (GOP Party) won the position of State Senator for Legislative District 9 with 97.58%. Mary Dye (GOP Party) secured 81.08% of the vote for State Representative Pos. 1, and Joe Schmick (Republican Party) won State Representative Pos. 2 with 80.76%.
