Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!

Road Knights active, growing

DAVENPORT - The Davenport Road Knights car club celebrated its 70th year this summer attending multiple events.

"Our first event of the year was the Mule Days Car Show in Reardan," club Vice President Brian Curtis said. "With over 100 vehicles registered, it was our largest show."

The club also participated in the Pioneer Days Show in Davenport and the Vintage Harvest Truck and Tractor Show east of the city.

"We were blessed to have in attendance at the 2024 Pioneer Days Car Show the first president of the Road Knights, Jerry Kruger, who came to give us a few words of encouragement and thank the members for keeping the club going," Curtis said.

According to Curtis, the club is becoming more active in the county.

"Over the last decade the club has become much more active, doing cruises and participating in area shows," he said. "We have established a display in the 'Garage' at the Davenport Museum and have had wonderful collaboration with the staff."

The organization hosts monthly meetings in the museum annex.

"With 30-plus members and growing, we hope to continue the camaraderie and fellowship of the car culture for decades to come in Lincoln County," Curtis said.
