DAVENPORT — A Fruitland man was killed Saturday, Sept. 7, in crash about 15 miles north of Davenport.
Charles G. Keedy, 77, died of injuries he sustained in the 11:24 a.m. crash near Milepost 15 of State Highway 25 in Lincoln County. Next of kin was present at the time of his death.
The Washington State Patrol reported that Keedy was northbound on the highway in a 2001 Buick LeSabre at the time of the crash.
As he approached a curve in the highway, he failed to reduce speed, lost control in the curve and left the roadway, the patrol said. The vehicle overturned and landed in a ditch. Keedy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the patrol reported. Neither alcohol nor drugs was a factor.
