Fiddlers perform in Harrington

HARRINGTON — JayDean Ludiker’s Group Therapy Fiddle Orchestra performed Sept. 14 at the Harrington Opera House.

The popular group played old-time fiddle tunes and music familiar to many old-timers.

The group comprising a couple dozen fiddlers, half a dozen guitarists, three bassists, and two mandolins and a harmonica player.

Opera House member and centenarian fiddle player Harold Skinner of Spirit Lake, Idaho, who has taught some wonderful tunes from the early years of fiddle music to other members, performed, too. The audience cheered and clapped as the familiar tunes were played.

Intermission had a table full of treats and drinks to add to the museum’s donations.

Proceeds from the afternoon concert benefit the Harrington Opera House and the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association.
