Testing in anticipation of a Full-time Records Specialist Position for Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office

The Records Specialist is a non-union position directly responsible to the Jail Superintendent and 911 Coordinator and will be responsible for the entry of warrants, protection orders, stolen items, missing persons, violent persons and private impounds entered into Spillman, state and national crime computer system as well as public records requests for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Beginning salary for position is $4,537-$5,338 monthly depending on experience

(40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm). Benefits include Medical, Dental and Vison coverage and retirement.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Be 21 years of age or older.

2. No record of any felony convictions. (Some misdemeanors are disqualifying.)

3. Speak clearly and be able to make effective written communications.

4. Ability to pass oral exam and background checks prior to hire.

5. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

6. Must pass WSP ACCESS testing within 6 months of hire.

7. Ability to handle highly sensitive info without relaying to the general public.
