Community event to honor veterans

REARDAN – A community-wide Veterans Day program will be Monday, Nov. 11, at Reardan Bible Fellowship. It will start at 10:00 a.m.

The Medical Lake High School Air Force Junior ROTC Honor Guard will present the colors and retired Air Force Master Sergeants Scott Hansen, Lyle Anderson and Kelly Williquette will provide music.

The featured speaker is Chief Master Sergeant Wayne Terry (retired), a veteran who served two years in the Army and 36 years in the Air National Guard. Terry is a member of the Washington State and National Wrestling Hall of Fame. He has coached over 5,000 kids over his 44 year coaching career. A renowned speaker, Terry inspires his audience with stories of heroism and patriotism.

The title of Terry’s talk is, “The Price of Freedom.”

“Reardan is a community that loves our American flag, our country and our freedom,” event organizer Gail Daniels said. “We are grateful to the men and women who were willing to die for our country in order to protect our freedom. We look forward to honoring them on Veterans Day.”

Daniels encouraged everyone to attend.

“Wayne Terry is a patriot who will leave you inspired and proud to be an American,” she said.

Refreshments will be provided.

At the conclusion of the program, Clif Warwick from Lincoln County Veterans Office will be available to answer questions about veterans’ services.

Reardan Bible Fellowship is at 155 S Oak Street.
