Man dies in crash on U.S. 2

REARDAN — A 38-year-old Spokane Valley man died from injuries he sustained in a Nov. 3 crash two miles east of the city on U.S. Highway 2.

The name of the decedent was being withheld at press time pending notification of next of kin.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the man was westbound in his Toyota Camry at about 2:30 a.m. when he veered onto the shoulder, over-corrected and crossed back onto the eastbound shoulder, where his vehicle overturned.

He was ejected from the vehicle, which came to rest in a field, the patrol reported. The driver was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, where he was pronounced dead.

The patrol cited wheels off roadway as the cause of the crash.

The victim was not wearing a seatbelt.
