Lake Roosevelt fees to increase in 2025

PORCUPINE BAY — Thinking about recreating at Lake Roosevelt next year? You better plan to spend more.

Beginning Jan. 1, the National Park Service is raising fees to camp, boat and more at the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area.

If you’re going boating, the park service is raising the cost to $10 for a one-week launch pass or $60 for the calendar year from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31.

The launch fees were last raised in 2015, officials said.

Then on March 15, federal officials will hike the fee by $7 to stay overnight at Spring Canyon, Porcupine Bay, Fort Spokane, Hunters, Gifford, Kettle Falls and Evans campgrounds.

On March 15, winter discounts end and the cost will increase to $30 per night at these campgrounds.

Other campground costs will remain at $23 per night, except for the Keller Ferry campground operated by a private concessionaire, Lake Roosevelt Adventures.

Group campsites costs will also increase to $64 per night for 1-25 campers, $90 for 26-50 and $115 for 51-71.

Officials said the last time camping fees were increase was in 2021.

Bringing your own RV to stay in? Well, you can expect the dump fee to increase, too, March 15.

Dump fees at Spring Canyon, Keller Ferry, Fort Spokane, Porcupine Bay, Hunters, Gifford, Kettle Falls and Evans will increase to $10 per gray and black water tank.

Lake Roosevelt officials said the additional revenue will help pay for dock and parking upgrades at Seven Bays and improving restrooms in Kettle Falls and Evans.

Funds will also be used to help make several campground areas compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
