Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
VANCOUVER - Lincoln County Commissioner Rob Coffman is taking on a new statewide leadership role representing the 39 counties.
During the 2024 membership meeting of the Washington State Association of Counties, Coffman was sworn in as the association's 118th president.
He replaces Skagit County Commissioner Lisa Janicki, whose term expired. Janicki will become past president and remain on the executive committee.
Coffman has been a part of the associations executive team for the past two years, having served as both the 2nd and 1st Vice President, according to the organization. He has also represented counties on a number of statewide boards, including the County Road Administration Board.
This year's County Leaders Conference in Clark County, themed "Finding a Path Forward," had more than 400 individuals gather to learn, network, and share how to better serve counties, officials said.
Topics included leading through change, economic forecasts, building partnerships, building county roads, homelessness, internet technologies and more.
Coffman was first elected as a county commissioner in 2010.
Coffman will be followed by 1st Vice President Mark Ozias, a Clallam County commissioner, and Wes McCart of Stevens County as 2nd Vice President.
