Peggy Annette McCartney

It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Peggy Annette McCartney. Peggy (70) passed away on Nov. 18, 2024, at the age of 70.
Peggy was born on Aug. 9, 1954, in Odessa, Wash., to Harry and Evelyn McCartney. Peggy was a Remarkable woman whose love and determination left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
After earning a degree in Communication from Whitworth University, She embarked on a Professional journey that would touch more people than anyone could imagine.
In 1987, Peggy began working for Zellerbach, where she was one of only two female salespeople in the Western United States with that company. She sold printing paper with great success where she earned the admiration of her colleagues and clients alike until 2000 when she later transitioned to real estate.
She joined John L. Scott, where her boundless energy and dedication helped her sell over 800 homes. Many of Peggy's clients became cherished friends, a testament to Peggy's ability to connect with others on a deep and genuine level.
Her leadership with the Spokane Clubs' Cellar Dwellers, a club within a club, transformed it from 14 members to an astounding 140, showcasing her passion for bringing people together.
Peggy often said she had her "dream man, dream house, and dream dog," and her life reflected those dreams. She shared her journey with her husband, Ron Irwin, and their loyal and loving dog, Bogie.
Peggy was a proud mother to Gavin and Travis Wagner. And a devoted grandmother to Madelynn, Tate, and Treig Wagner. She was also blessed with two wonderful daughters-in-laws, Haley and Kayla Wagner, who she adored.
Her life was guided by her passions: she lovingly tended to her bees, her boys, and the buyers Peggy served with such care. She embraced her love of travel, exploring the world and creating countless memories. Through all her endeavors, Peggy lived life with unshakable determination, resilience, and joy.
A Going Away Party to celebrate Peggy's extraordinary life will be held on Dec. 22, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. at Center Place (2426 N Discovery Pl, Spokane Valley, WA 99216). In honor of Peggy's vibrant personality, guests are encouraged to wear fun colors and animal prints-Peggy would have loved it.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peggy's memory to the Spokane Humane Society, a cause close to her heart. Donations will be accepted at Peggy's party.
Peggy Annette McCartney lived a life that was rich with love, achievement, and adventure. Her warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be deeply be missed but never forgotten.
