New pizza place opens

6th Street Cafe & Pizza off to promising start

DAVENPORT — A new pizza parlor in town has already made a big impression, drawing large crowds on its opening day, Nov. 11.

The family-owned restaurant, 6th Street Cafe & Pizza, is operated by the Colbert family; it is the latest addition to the local dining scene.

The owners were too busy to talk before press time this week.

Located in the heart of downtown Davenport on Sixth Street, the restaurant offers more than just pizza — it also serves wings, salads, ice cream, and has a full coffee bar.

For those looking for a drink, they offer beer, wine, and seltzers on tap.

Christine and Nick Colbert purchased the restaurant after it closed under its previous management.

Christine, who balances her roles as a full-time mom, restaurant owner, farmer, and rodeo participant, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community online.

6th Street Cafe & Pizza is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, except on Sundays.

Pizza by the slice is available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.
