Deputy Wiedmer retires from sheriff's office

DAVENPORT - The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) celebrated the career of Deputy Chuck Wiedmer, who retired after more than 25 years of dedicated service to the community.

Deputy Wiedmer began his law enforcement journey as a reserve officer with the Reardan Police Department before joining LCSO in 1998 as a reserve deputy under Sheriff Dan Berry.

Over the years, he became a cornerstone of the department, serving under four different sheriffs and contributing significantly to its operations.

Known for his unwavering dedication, Wiedmer was often called upon at a moment's notice to assist the office and serve the citizens of Lincoln County.

Beyond covering countless patrol shifts, he played a pivotal role in the LCSO marine patrol program, ensuring the safety of the county's waterways.

Wiedmer also devoted years of service to the Reardan Fire Department, further showcasing his commitment to the community.

"Deputy Wiedmer has been an invaluable member of the sheriff's office and an exemplary public servant," the LCSO said in a statement. "His willingness to go above and beyond, along with his dedication to public safety, will not be forgotten."

As Wiedmer enters retirement, the LCSO extended heartfelt thanks to him for his decades of service and expressed best wishes for his future.
