Local man ready for the challenge

DAVENPORT — The Lincoln County Commissioners appointed Ty Albertson, 41, as the new prosecuting attorney during their meeting on Monday, December 16.

Albertson will officially assume the role on January 13, following the resignation of current Prosecuting Attorney Adam Walser, who will assume Lincoln County Superior Court Judge.

“I am very excited and very grateful that they selected me,” said Albertson. “It shows a lot of faith in me, and I appreciate that. I am excited for the challenge.”

“The commissioners picked my successor, Ty Albertson, the chief deputy prosecutor,” said Walser.

Albertson, who currently handles all felony cases in Lincoln County, brings nearly a decade of local experience to the position.

Born and raised in Kennewick, he has lived in Lincoln County since 2014. He resides in Odessa with his wife, Blayne Albertson, who is originally from the area, and their three children, who attend school in Odessa.

Albertson was selected after meeting with the Lincoln County Republican Central Committee on Sunday, Dec. 15.

“I am very humbled they selected me. I look forward to working and serving the citizens of Lincoln County as their prosecuting attorney,” said Albertson.
