The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

December 15

Traffic Stops: 14

At 4:24 a.m., a man called, reporting he had recently left a resident in the Look Lake area where an altercation had occurred between himself and a female friend. He advised that they had made a report in Stevens County for the assault between himself and the woman and suggested at one point, he had pulled a gun out and pointed it. He called from his vehicle near the Shadle area and advised he was driving drunk back to the trailer he had been staying in on Gunning Road. He advised he was going to retrieve his belongings.

A man called the sheriff’s office at 1:15 p.m., reporting that he locked himself out of his car and needed help getting it unlocked. He advised that he was at Safeway’s west side where all the big trucks park.

December 16

Traffic Stops: 0

A man called at 1 a.m. to report that his nephew was beating on his door despite having asked him multiple times to stop. His nephew pushed him and would not leave the premises.

At 2:23 a.m., a man called to report that his wife assaulted him. He advised that she had returned home intoxicated, became upset, and got into a verbal fight. He suggested that he had loaded the kids to leave then, but she took the keys and went back inside the house when they were preparing to leave. He told dispatchers that they were separated and had both kids with them in the garage. He then stated that she had returned to the back bedroom.

At 2:08 p.m., a woman called to report that her neighbor’s dog barks all day and night is always outside. The house was on the south side of the street from her.

A phone call was made from a woman at 9:09 p.m. requesting a deputy to address a suspicious phone call she got from a person who wanted to rent a room. She advised that the person on the phone would only give her their first name, wanted to pay in cash, and that she could hear someone crying in the background of the phone call.

December 17

Traffic Stops: 5

At 11:03 a.m. a woman called requesting to speak with a deputy regarding her sister’s dog, who is running loose and causing problems. She advised the dog is a border collie heeler mix that lives out on the farm at Carlson Road. She also said that she feels the dog is neglected because she only goes out to check on it once a week.

A man called on behalf of his son at 12:12 p.m. and advised that his son and friend went to Davenport the day before. While in Davenport, the son’s friend reportedly pushed him to the ground and lost his keys. He wasn’t sure what address this happened. His son was brought home, and the following day, he received a call that said they had found his keys. As of the time the man made the phone call to dispatch, the keys had not been returned. He wanted to know if they could file assault and theft charges.

At 3:14 p.m., a woman called advising that her daughter was in the ditch somewhere near Bald Ridge.

A man called at 5:50 p.m., reporting that a woman exposed her breasts to him at her house.

December 18

Traffic Stops: 10

At 8:11 a.m., a man called requesting assistance because he locked his keys and phone in the car.

A phone call was made at 10:59 p.m. to report that an attempted commercial burglary had occurred at the Telford Rest Area. The caller stated that the DOT maintenance door was damaged on the backside of the building.

At 4:50 p.m., dispatch received a call stating that a deer had been hit in Wilbur in front of Billy Burger and was dragging itself around the side of the road. Another call was later made advising that the deer took off running after the call to dispatch was made.

Dispatch received a call at about 6:24 p.m. reporting someone had lost about six 500lb bales of hay on the turn onto Level from Sunset. Some of it was in the roadway. They contacted public works, and someone was on their way with a grader to clear the roadway for traffic.

A woman called at 10:24 p.m. advising that she had been talking to people about her legal matters, and these people told her that her alleged abuser had called them and told them that he had friends driving around looking for her to kill her. She wanted to sit down with a deputy as there was an open investigation with an unknown agency or agency.

December 19

Traffic Stops: 3

A woman called at 7:25 a.m., reporting that her diabetic medications were taken from her porch and she needed them. She advised that the meds she had expired in 10 hours. She thinks someone is stealing packages because the packages say “delivered” on her computer or phone.

A man called at 9:59 a.m. to report a guy hit their building, the Doxie Restaurant, and did some damage.

A man requested a phone call from a deputy for guidance on what to do at 12:25 p.m. about an issue he is having with his daughter, to whom he gave a white 78 Ford pickup ¾ ton to to solve a family dispute. According to the man, the daughter never put the title in her name. She was just involved in a vehicle accident where the insurance company is coming after them for roughly $9,000 in damages.

A mother called at 9:32 p.m. to report that her 12-year-old son was upset at his father and mother and was trying to leave the house. The mother reported that this happened all the time and was worried he would start hitting them. She stated that he bangs chairs around and is very angry. The deputies are called out to his grandmother’s house frequently when he visits.

December 20

Traffic Stops: 6

A man called at 7:38 a.m. to report a possible DUI at the Safeway parking lot, where he advised that three men were in a green Dodge Dakota, and he believed they were on meth.

A father called at 9:38 a.m. on behalf of his daughter because she was renting a house and had only been there for 14 days; she had told a man to leave the premises, but the man wouldn’t.

A woman called to report she had locked herself out of her travel trailer and would like help to unlock it. There was a dog and cat inside.

Dispatch received a phone call at 5:31 p.m. to report that they had confronted two people engaged in illicit acts in a vehicle in their driveway that morning. They stated the two people had their pants around their ankles, and when asked to leave, they picked up their stuff and went without incident. The caller reported the license plate number to dispatch.

A man called at 8:07 p.m. to report that he was turning and a man in a red Chevy pickup slammed into his Tesla. The man in the red pickup refused to give a driver’s license. Later, deputies determined that the two-vehicle crash occurred at 213 North East Main Avenue at Tom’s Boat Shop. Both vehicles had been traveling westbound on the roadway. Vehicle two signaled to turn right onto NorthEast Brace Street. However, the vehicle did not turn and continued to enter the parking lot for Tom’s Boat Shop. Vehicle One passed on the left when vehicle two signaled to turn into the parking lot. As a result, vehicle one crashed into vehicle two. Right rear end damage was caused to vehicle one, and left front end damage to vehicle two.

A woman called at 9:48 p.m. to report her ex has joined a cult and is trying to find her and kill her for money. She was concerned for her safety and wanted to update the Sheriff’s office patrol to be aware.

December 21

Traffic Stops: 11

A man called at 5:03 p.m. to report that a woman was in the storage shed and was supposed to leave the property but had not.

December 22

Traffic Stops: 6

A woman called at 12:34 p.m. to report that she got a phone call that kids were breaking up the concrete in front of 11 North East Cole.

Dispatch received a call at 3:37 p.m. advising that while driving by the Waukon Grange earlier in the day, it looked like the front door was open and suggested that it looked like someone possibly broke part of the frame.

At 3:46 p.m., a woman called to report that a tan Ford pickup was stuck and off the road.

December 16

Shawn Aaron Holman, 45, of Davenport, was arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office- Davenport City Bookings for assault-4 and false statements or illegal transfers.

Kara Ellen Wilkie, 30, of Reardan, was arrested by the Reardan Police Department for assault-4.

Deacon Angel Stevenson, 38, of Springdale, was arrested by the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office for an out-of-county misdemeanor Washington.

December 19

John Christopher Brewer, 62, of Bellingham, was arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office- Davenport City Bookings for driving under the influence.

Leonardo Vidao Sanchez, 22, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office- Davenport City Bookings for driving with license suspended or revoked-3 or revoked license or privilege.

December 20

Austin Brownlee Currey, 41, of Chattaroy, was arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office- Davenport City Bookings for driving with license suspended or revoked-3.

Jesse Randall Smith, 44, of Nine Mile Falls, was arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office- Davenport City Bookings for domestic violence court order violation and temporary anti-harassment order violation.

December 22

Melvin Carl Peone, 53, of Wellpinit, was arrested by the Bureau of Indian Affairs for a BIA (All Tribal Arrest) related charge.
