Fourth suspect charged in Almira burglary

Wenz pleads not guilty, trial set for April

ALMIRA — A fourth suspect connected to the January burglary of an Almira residence has been charged and will face trial in Lincoln County Superior Court.

Thea Wenz, 27, of Moses Lake, pleaded not guilty to one count of residential burglary, second-degree possession of stolen property, second-degree burglary, and second-degree theft. During her arraignment, the prosecution requested standard release conditions.

Wenz, who resides with her grandparents, was appointed public defender Victoria Iverson.

Her trial is scheduled for April 16 at 9 a.m., with a readiness hearing set for March 25 at 10:30 a.m.

According to court records, Wenz admitted to law enforcement that she was present during the burglary and observed others stealing items from the home.

Three other suspects—Recardo E. Rocha, 32; Delila Ellen Reid, 51; and Jose Rafael Medina Lomeli, 28—were previously charged in connection to the crime.

The burglary, reported on January 9, involved the theft of several firearms, a Liberty safe, household items, and a Jeep.

Rocha, Reid, and Medina Lomeli have pleaded not guilty and are scheduled to face trial on March 19.
