Unique 'edibles' great for cannabis use

AIRWAY HEIGHTS – A popular product sold by today’s cannabis stores is the “edible.” Edibles are cannabis-infused snacks that provide similar effects as smoking or vaping.

Lorena Guerra, Store Manager of Toker Friendly in Airway Heights, reveals, “Honestly, right now, huckleberry-flavored edibles are taking over the market! It’s a Northwest flavor, so it’s really popular right now.”

Guerra continues, “We also have products in a kind of mystery flavor that people are currently loving. And, there’s a flavor that tastes like ‘Baja Blast’, and that also comes in vaping cartridges.”

Tyler West, General Manager and buyer for Natural Green in Davenport, gives a fairly comprehensive list of the kinds of edibles available to buyers.

West explains, “There are three main forms of edibles that we sell here. Hard candies, gummies, and chocolates.”

“For hard candies,” says West, “we carry flavors like butterscotch, sour lemon, blue raspberry, and watermelon. We also have a variety of mints.”

West continues, “The gummies we carry come in flavors like strawberry-kiwi, blue raspberry, dragon fruit, orange, lemon, and huckleberry!”

“As for chocolates,” says West, “We have chocolate flavors in milk chocolate, dark chocolate, dark chocolate with caramel, and coconut-macadamia is a popular flavor.”

West adds, “We also have a chocolate that’s dark chocolate, caramel, and ghost pepper!”

West concludes, “We carry edible products that sugar- free as well.”

Guerra also speaks of sugar-free edibles carried by her store. “When people consume edibles on a regular basis, they may find their tolerance to them may increase. Sugar-free edibles cuts down on the amount of sugar intake that results can result from increasing the number of edibles.”
